Introduced by Rep. Marty Knollenberg (R) on March 8, 2007, to require all regular school board elections to be held in November, in either even or odd years. Under election consolidation law passed in 2003, school districts may choose to hold their elections in May, which in most cases means the districts must pay the entire cost of the election, because no other government bodies have elections then.
Referred to the House Education Committee on March 8, 2007.
