1) FULL OF GAS [by inform4 on July 27, 2007] Rep. Coleman Young on July 24, 2007, to allow local governments to impose
their own motor fuel tax (gasoline and diesel tax).
What State does Mr. Young live in -- the State of denial? Does he know that Michigan is in the economic dumpster?
Maybe he needs to step into the unemployment line and experience what many of his constituents are going through? How does he expect them to look for a job if they can't afford to fuel the car they need to drive around in to seek a job?
Save me from this idiotic, can't put one foot in front of the other, so-called representatives.
Now, tell me we don't need a part-time, term-limited legislature? Reply
2) No Surprise [by Anonymous Citizen on July 26, 2007] This is what Mr. Coleman excels at. Different ways to raise taxes! More government by the incompetent. Reply
3) Bogus [by Anonymous Citizen on July 26, 2007] This makes a lot of sense. At a time when Michigan is gasping for economic growth, let's allow local governments to add their own taxes to fuel. Michigan is built upn the premise of individual mobility. Don't exascerbate the problem! Reply
