You make a valid point, however if your going to present such a bill or idea and have it go anywhere, work on your language and your grammer. I would buy a hybrid if there was one that suited my lifestyle, I need a car with some good cargo space and I sure as hell aint driving a ford or a Prius, sorry but there for fags. So its not just the goverments issue, the car manufacturers need to kick thier butts into gear and get some real working vehicles out there that are practical, and not ugly *coughcough* Prius *cough*. Face the facts, its a hideous car, it needs some more aggresive lines.

I absolutely agree with you. I know so many people who just sit back and complain and do nothing but gripe about how hybrids are a waste of time. Some people will never change. It's nice to hear the truth every now and then.

...Sounds a little bigoted, but okay. Though drilling for oil will just deplete what few resources we have left, and once we're out of that, I guess we can go to converting people we don't like for superficial reasons into fossil fuels. But what happens when we eventually run out of all those resources? We will, after all. Switching to nuclear power is a good choice, but that also leaves highly volatile chemicals and radioactive waste on our already poisoned planet.

Independent research groups have proven time and again that, while maybe not the sole cause, emissions from fossil fuels and coal power plants have greatly contributed to the effects of global warming. Just something to think about when America continues to spend all their time at the local gas station. And the bonus effect? We're just putting more money into the oil companies' pockets, taking said funds and assets out of the economy. The whole time this goes on, we sink deeper into a depression, one that can be argued to have been created by Republicans and conservatives being in control of the Oval office for eight years. After all, Clinton was a Democrat, and look what he was able to do for our country? And if that's a biased response, look at FDR. Apparently we haven't learned from the past, given the examples we're given to follow.

Just food for thought. If you don't want to believe it, that's fine. Just know that Hybrid cars really aren't that bad of an idea; they will certainly be getting a lot of press attention, to say the least. Hopefully, there will be enough people with sense enough to convert and save us from our dependency on things that can't last forever.
