Introduced by Rep. Hoon-Yung Hopgood (D) on July 23, 2008, to place before voters in the next general election a Constitutional amendment to authorize counties to impose a county sales tax of up to 1 percent to be used for road and public transportation spending. A vote of the people in the county would be required.

You already have a gas tax, and a sales tax on the gas and gas tax as well. Use that for roads and stop wasting it on boondoggle people-movers, light rail games. Reply
