Mandate carpenter licensure

To prohibit a person from earning money as a carpenter on a commercial structure or as a carpentry contractor unless he or she is granted a state license. The bill would impose testing, training, license and testing fees, and apprenticeship standards. To qualify for a license a carpenter would need to have at least 6,000 hours of experience over at least four years under the direct supervision of a licensed carpenter contractor.
