Introduced by Sen. John Proos, IV (R) on October 4, 2011, to require school districts to develop guidelines and pertinent information for informing and educating coaches, young athletes and parents about the nature and risk of concussion and head injury, including the risk of continuing to engage in a sports activity after a concussion or head injury. The bill also would require school districts to adopt a “wellness policy” to promote “healthy habits among its pupils, including at least proper nutrition and physical activity”.

Is the State going to fund this bill or just legislate additionl costs and ask the schools to bear the burden of the extra costs involved?
If you aren't going to fund it, DON'T PASS IT.
