To require the 36 out of 38 Senators and 14 out of 110 current House members exempted from the <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2011-HB-4087">recent repeal</a> of lifetime health insurance benefits granted at age 55 to former legislators to contribute 5 percent of their salary to prefunding this benefit. The exemptions in the repeal bill were based on the date a lawmaker first took office.
