Introduced by Rep. George T. Darany (D) on September 12, 2012, to give governors the power to remove a county executive if the governor “is satisfied from the evidence submitted” that the county executive has committed official misconduct, willful neglect of duty, extortion, habitual drunkenness, or has a post-election felony conviction.
