2013 House Bill 5144: Require more third grade reading interventions
Introduced by Rep. Thomas Stallworth, III (D) on November 12, 2013 To require the state Department of Education to develop and phase-in programs to achieve more student proficiency on the third grade state reading assessment test. The programs would have to include “diagnostic evaluation,” early intervention, tutoring, mentoring and more.   Official Text and Analysis.
