2015 House Bill 4583

Authorize interstate medical licensure compact

Introduced in the House

May 12, 2015

Introduced by Rep. Jim Tedder (R-43)

To authorize Michigan’s participation in an interstate medical licensure compact that would make it easier for a doctor seeking licensure in more than one state to demonstrate licensure status in his or her home state. (Note: Reportedly there are private companies that already provide this service.) The compact would not serve as an alternative to having to get a separate license in each new state.
