Revise teacher assessment conflict of interest rules

Introduced in the House

March 6, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Steven Johnson (R-72)

To modify conflict of interest provisions that apply to evaluators who assess the performance of public school teachers and administrators. Specifically, the bill would require that the evaluation of a teacher or of “any teacher who is similarly situated” may not be conducted by “a family member of that teacher or of any other teacher who is similarly situated”.
