2011 Senate Bill 818: Require standardized hazard warning system on public beaches
Introduced by Sen. John Proos (R) on November 10, 2011 To require all public beaches to use a system of green, yellow or red flags to indicate water safety conditions, and post a sign explaining what the flags mean. Red danger flags would be displayed for strong riptide or “undertow” situations, or contaminated water.   Official Text and Analysis.
