2012 Senate Bill 1231: Mandate motorist turn on dome light when stopped at night
  1. Introduced by Sen. Judy Emmons (R) on August 15, 2012, to require a motorist stopped by police at night to turn on vehicle’s the interior lights, subject to a $100 fine.
    • Referred to the Senate Transportation Committee on August 15, 2012.

 We NEED to remember the morons that bring up stupid sh*t like this to make sure they don't get re elected.  I'm sure they would post this law so everyone knows about it? Like crossing trailer saftey chains.  Didn't know about it but got a ear full from a cop. Dumb law and is WRONG as far as saftey.

Waste of time. Just another money law. Cops have more lights hitting the car that a dome light wouldn't make a differences. Is this what the state pays these people for?? I couldn't find a law that says your car needs to be equipped with a dome light. For once I would like to see a law that helps all people not just law enforcement or minorities.

Turn on dome light when stopped by police & remove trailer hitch when not towing???
Good thing Lansing is working on important stuff rather then working on why we spent $600,000 for an election to replace McCotter for a few months.

Vote them all out & start over
