Introduced by Rep. Jeff Farrington (R) on August 15, 2012, to increase the monthly tax on mobile homes in a trailer court from $3 per month to $24 per month, adjusted for inflation on an annual basis. Current owners or occupants would be “grandfathered” at the $3 rate.

So not only does this bill squeeze the already poor, but also seniors on a fixed income as well! Good job people. Let's go after the most vulnerable people in society because they can't fight back.

What a wonderful way for Michigan's GOP Legislators to squeeze out a little more revenue without having to touch the wealthy so-called "job creators" - Just impose an 800% tax increase for the poorest members of society... after all, most of them don't really vote... they just sit in their trailers, collect welfare, and drink themselves into oblivion. Two less twelve packs a month and they'll have enough to cover the new tax.

Anyone who thinks the republican party has anything but disdain for the sadly burgeoning lower-income population needs to have their head examined.
