

2009 House Bill 4493: Prohibit multiple passengers for beginning drivers (House Roll Call 459)
Passed 79 to 19 in the House on November 10, 2010, to prohibit first-year drivers under age 18 from having more than one passenger in the car who is a minor unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, except for driving to school. Also, except for going to work, to ban these drivers from driving after 10 p.m. and before 5 a.m. (currently the ban is midnight to 5).

I'm so angry over this I could scream! How is it possible that these imbeciles can continue to pass these restrictions on their citizens and the citizens are not even involved in the decisions? It is becoming hopeless.
This is a terrible law. It is now officially illegal to double date. It is now even more difficult for a teenager to find a job because they can't drive home after 10:00. It is now officially illegal for another student to pick up my daughter and drive 8 blocks to the 7:00 am student council meeting.
We are being protected to death!
