2001 House Bill 4879 / Public Act 130

Introduced in the House

June 5, 2001

Introduced by Rep. Cameron Brown (R-59)

To allow school buses to be used to transport agricultural workers to and from a field for agricultural operations. Current law requires school buses to be painted "national school bus chrome yellow," and prohibits painting non-school buses with the same color and design. Therefore it is illegal for school buses otherwise idle in the summer growing season to be used for any but a handful of specifically authorized purposes.
