To authorize a nursing scholarship program to be paid for from the Michigan merit award trust fund. Each scholarship recipient could receive up to $4,000 annually for a maximum of four academic years. Eligible costs would include tuition and fees, room, board, books, supplies, transportation, and day care. See also Senate Bill 793.
