2006 Senate Bill 1324

Subsidize certain relatives who become child's guardian

Introduced in the Senate

June 21, 2006

Introduced by Sen. Irma Clark-Coleman (D-3)

To create a new state program that gives cash subsidies to relatives with low incomes who are appointed by a court to act as a legal guardian for a child. The grants would be equal to two-thirds the amount the state would pay to put the child in a foster care home.
