Establish surgical facility regulations

To establish general regulations for freestanding surgical outpatient facilities or hospitals that perform surgical procedures under general anesthesia or deep sedation. These facilities would be required to “develop and maintain effective policies and procedures regarding surgical privileges, maintenance of the operating rooms, and evaluation of the surgical patient”.
