Require state contractor concessions

Introduced in the House

March 25, 2010

Introduced by Rep. Andy Dillon (D-17)

To require the Department of Management and Budget to negotiate with each vendor or contractor with a state contract to reduce the cost by 5 percent either by revising the price, quantity or contract specifications. If a contractor won’t make concessions, any contracts would not be renewed and the non-cooperators’ names would be placed on a website.
