2011 House Bill 4284 / 2012 Public Act 5

Revise demonstrations at funerals restrictions

Introduced in the House

Feb. 17, 2011

Introduced by Rep. Bruce Rendon (R-103)

To revise details of what constitutes a violation of the 2006 law that restricted demonstrations at funerals. Specifically, the bill would reword current provisions banning behavior at funerals that are likely to incite an imminent breach of the peace or intended to disrupt the ceremonies, and would add a ban on actions that “disrupt, obstruct, hinder, impede, or block another person's” entry or exit.
