To prohibit openly carrying a pistol in one of the “gun free zones” specified in the concealed pistol permit law, with exceptions for the owner and security staff of one of those zones (which include bars and other privately owned venues). The bill would also authorize a process for individuals with permits to request an exemption that would allow concealed carry in a "gun free zone," including a school.
