2016 Senate Bill 1137

Restrict salaried employment

Introduced in the Senate

Oct. 20, 2016

Introduced by Sen. Jim Ananich (D-27)

To establish that an employee who is paid less than $913 per week may not be given a salary but can only be paid an hourly wage that is subject to the state’s minimum wage law. This mirrors Obama administration administrative fiats that have imposed the same restrictions on workers under the federal minimum wage mandate.
