2016 Senate Bill 920

Revise liquor license rationing

Introduced in the Senate

April 26, 2016

Introduced by Sen. Jim Marleau (R-12)

To prohibit giving a new wine-and-beer package liquor license to a store that would be within half a mile of an existing seller, with a number of specific exceptions. Current law limits new stores by imposing a population-based quota, but can be waived if there is no store within two miles.
