2018 House Bill 6260

Require universities accept all students from charter schools they authorize

Introduced in the House

June 12, 2018

Introduced by Rep. Sherry Gay-Dagnogo (D-8)

To require state universities to admit any student who attended a public charter school authorized by the university, regardless of grades or scores on admission tests. The bill would require the university to provide remedial classes to these students if necessary (but would not require this for students from conventional public schools).
