2018 Senate Bill 955

Create domestic violence confidential address program

Introduced in the Senate

April 19, 2018

Introduced by Sen. Rick Jones (R-24)

To revise the state identification card issuance law to accommodate the proposal in Senate Bill 655 to create a domestic violence confidential address program. This proposes that the state Attorney General give victims a “designated address” to which mail could be sent and then forwarded to the individual’s actual location. Under this bill the designated address would be the one that appears on a person’s state ID card.
