2021 House Bill 4162

Report to legislators how much COVID relief went to their district

Introduced in the House

Feb. 4, 2021

Introduced by Rep. Cynthia Johnson (D-5)

To require the state Department of Management and Budget and the “Michigan Strategic Fund” agency (which presides over state subsidy programs for corporations and developers) to give each legislator quarterly reports on the amount of COVID-19 relief funds paid to individuals and businesses in the district they represent, which specifies the funds provided to individuals and businesses, sorted by city and county. The department would have to provide a report to each legislator on a quarterly basis.
