2022 House Bill 5747 / Public Act 128

Authorize government granting approval to sell certain products

Introduced in the House

Feb. 15, 2022

Introduced by Rep. Bryan Posthumus (R-73)

To give state department regulators the authority to issue “certificates of free sale” upon request to a “dairy plant where milk or dairy products are processed, pasteurized, or aseptically processed in this state.” This would verify their products are “legally sold or distributed in this state and on the open market with the approval of the department.” The bill does not mandate producers get the certificate or ban sales by ones who have not.
