To recalculate the amounts paid by the state to local governments in compensation for having <a href="http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/2011-2012/billanalysis/Senate/pdf/2011-SFA-1065-N.pdf">partially reformed</a> a property tax levied on businesses based on the value of their tools and equipment, called the “personal property tax.” This is part of a legislative package comprised of Senate Bills 805 to 807.
