To establish that for a domestic violence perpetrator who in a prior incident got a “dismissal and deferral” deal in return for counseling or drug treatment, and then commits another offense, it would count as a a prior conviction in a prosecution for domestic assault or aggravated domestic assault with one or more prior convictions.
