2016 Senate Bill 957

House Roll Call 428: Passed

To revise a tax the state imposes on health care providers so as to “game” the federal Medicaid program in ways that result in higher federal payments to Michigan’s medical welfare establishment. The bill would retain more of the proceeds in state coffers rather than distribute them to providers through Medicaid contracts and reimbursements. See also Senate Bills 987 to 990.
