2017 House Bill 4422

House Roll Call 93: Passed

To extend indefinitely a law that allows a “retired” school employee to work as a substitute teacher or coach and still collect a pension and post-retirement health insurance benefits in addition to the substitute or coaching pay. The bill would also eliminate a requirement that, in the case of retired employees who return to work as substitute teachers, the district make certain related contributions to the school employee pension fund.
