2017 Senate Bill 501

Revise liquor store territory rationing

Introduced in the Senate

Introduced by Sen. Rick Jones (R-24)

To prohibit giving a new package liquor store license to a store that would be within half a mile of an existing seller, with a number of specific exceptions. Current law limits new stores by imposing a population-based quota, but can be waived if there is no store within two miles.
