To require notification of the Family Independence Agency OR the appropriate county mental health agency within 12 hours of a student arriving at a weapon-free school area with a lethal weapon. Also would require 48 hours of counseling by that agency at its facility. Also requires that the school notify the parent or guardian of the student, and that the mental health agency draw up a recommendation regarding the need for further counseling for the parents, students, or both.
