2001 House Bill 4131

To allow for a lien to be attached against real property as a means to settle a court judgment from within and outside of Michigan, provided that certain administrative procedures are followed regarding notification of all legal authorities and parties to the matter. The bill would also require that a summary of the case be filed with the lien, with a details of the money owed. The lien would have precedence over any subsequent lien attached to the same real property.
