2001 House Bill 4182

Introduced in the House

Feb. 13, 2001

Introduced by Rep. Paul Wojno (D-28)

To extend beyond remarriage the pension granted to surviving spouses of firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty. At present, the surviving spouse is no longer eligible for the pension when he/she remarries. This bill would extend the pension to the lifetime of the surviving spouse, regardless of subsequent marital status.
