2001 House Bill 4526

To prohibit salary and expense increases for the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government which exceed the increase in civil service compensation unless the House of Representatives and Senate affirmatively vote to approve them. The bill also adds the attorney general and secretary of state to the list of state officers for whom the State Officers Compensation Commission (SOCC) determines salaries and expense allowances, and requires that all increases over the level of the civil service increases take effect in the following legislative session.
