To allow the surviving or current spouse of a prisoner of war to obtain a special "ex-POW" license plate. Currently, only an ex-prisoner of war may obtain this plate. In addition, the bill would remove the $5 application and renewal fee for "ex-prisoner of war", "World War I veteran", "Pearl Harbor survivor", and "combat wounded veteran" (purple heart recipient) plates.
Referred to the Committee on Veteran’s Affairs and Homeland Security
Substitute offered
To replace the previous version of the bill with a version recommended by the committee which reported it. The substitute incorporates technical changes resulting from committee testimony and deliberation. These changes do not affect the substance of the bill as previously described.
