To create the Michigan Affordable Housing Fund in the Department of Treasury. This is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 4682, 4683 and 4684, which would provide state grants and loans to provide housing for low income households, and to require that a portion of the loans go to providing housing for homeless people, people with physical and mental disabilities, and people living in distressed or rural areas. The package also provide for single business tax credits for contributions to the program.
