To require insurers to deal fairly and in good faith with an insured who claims benefits and to establish damages for breaches of that duty. This is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 4740, 4741, 4742, 4743 and 4744. The bills would apply to disability, life, automobile, property and casualty, health care corporation, and HMO insurers.
