To require school districts and prosecutors to adopt local truancy policies, and to authorize increased fines for parents who fail to comply with them. The bill is part of a package comprised of HB 4842, 4845, and 4844. HB 4844 establishes penalties of any combination of a fine, imprisonment and/or community service.
