To require a health professional who observes a patient who appears to be insufficiently or excessively medicated with a controlled substance, medicated with an inappropriate controlled substance, or addicted to a controlled substance, to report that fact to the Department of Community Health. The bill requires the department to pursue disciplinary action against the physician responsible, which could include license suspension or revocation, reprimand, fine, etc., but could also be limited to continuing education, as appropriate.
