To establish a uniform statewide rental property maintenance code. This would impose the same regulation and inspection requirements that now apply to multi-unit rentals to all rental housing in the state. The bill would impose a single state maintenance code, but allow local governments to enforce more rigorous codes if they choose. All rental housing providers would be required to register their property. The bill is tie-barred to House Bill 5757.
