Introduced
by
To make permanent a freeze on “maintenance of effort” rates for county medical care facilities. Counties providing Medicaid-funded nursing home services in county-owned facilities must reimburse the state according to a county "maintenance of effort" rate determined on an annual basis for each patient day of Medicaid nursing home services. Ending the freeze would result in higher payments to the state by some counties.
Referred to the Committee on Appropriations
Amendment offered
To extend the freeze only through 2007, rather than permanently.
