To amend a reference to election law in the metropolitan councils act so as to remove the discretion of these entities to schedule elections dates when they choose (subject to certain limited restrictions). The bill is related to Senate Bill 439, which would require all elections in the state to be held on one of four days: the fourth Tuesday in February, the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May, the first Tuesday after the first Monday in August, and the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
