To authorize an aeropark economic development authority to promote economic development in aeropark economic development zones near airports, (in particular Metro Airport in Wayne County). It would have a board appointed by the governor and local officials (details to be included in a later version of the bill), could enter into contracts with economic development corporations and local governments, and would have authority to borrow and collect revenue from the management of the aeropark.
