To require licensure, regulation, and inspection of temporary and permanent migrant labor housing, and require the Department of Agriculture to promulgate rules for minimum standards of construction, health, sanitation, sewage, water supply, plumbing, garbage disposal, and operation. The bill would also establish a state migratory labor housing grant fund to be funded by legislative appropriations, to make grants for construction of privately-owned self-contained migrant housing units that must have at least 1 bedroom, a kitchen, a flush toilet, a lavatory, bathing facilities, and be at least 480 square feet in size.
