2002 Senate Bill 1191

To require the Secretary of State to create a database of uninsured motorists, to contact those who cancel or do not renew no-fault auto insurance, and to cancel a person’s vehicle registration if proof of insurance is not then presented within two weeks. A $1 fee would be added to vehicle registration fees to pay the cost of creating and maintaining the database. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of Senate Bills 1191 and 1192.
