To exempt from the “no-carry” zone provisions of the Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) law an on-duty reserve, part-time, or volunteer peace officer; a sheriff's deputy; a police officer of a city, village, or township; a police officer or public safety officer of a junior college, college, or university authorized to carry while on duty; or a parole probation officer authorized to carry while on duty.
