2003 House Bill 4047

Introduced in the House

Jan. 28, 2003

Introduced by Rep. Charles LaSata (R-79)

To eliminate the Mobile Home Commission, which writes the regulations which govern the licensure, density, layout, and construction of mobile home parks, including standards for roads, utilities, open space, proposed recreational facilities, and safety measures. These regulations mostly preempt local regulations on mobile home parks, unless the commission allows a local rule. The bill would also repeal other provisions of the mobile home act which pertain to the manufacture, sale, service, setup, and setup and installation of mobile homes in parks.

Referred to the Committee on Commerce

Reported without amendment

With recommendation that the bill be referred to the Committee on Local Government and Urban Policy.
